Memorial Day

This Memorial Day…let’s not forget the families who gave of their loved ones. The sacrifices they made were for a lifetime. Their lives have been altered forever.

We owe them. Memorial Day is one day a year. Their needs are daily. Keep them in your thoughts, your prayers and contribute to organizations that support them.   "Now, let’s get going!” xo Sally

Happy Mother's Day!

Mothers are amazing. They give more than they have, and then some.

I believe God created a learning opportunity when he gave women the ability to be mothers. He not only allowed us the opportunity to give love unconditionally, he enabled us to have a part in creating a person that has unlimited potential.

For those of you who do not have a biological mother that stood next to you, I am sure life gave you many opportunities to have others fill that space.

I had a wonderful role model for my mother, and I can only hope that I have done as well with my children. Life gives you a chance to be good to people every day.

Don’t limit your expression of love and caring to once a year. Be present. Be hopeful. Do whatever you can to help your children be all they can be.   “Now, let’s get going!” xo Sally

Time Does Not Stand Still

There are times we wish time would just stand still. Those special moments when we are celebrating something exciting, or just enjoying a time that a loved one is feeling better and more present in our lives.

If we could just keep in mind that everything in life comes to us and moves through us, we might be able to learn how to appreciate the moments. That is one of the best parts about loving your life.

You can change your experiences. You can choose where you spend your time, your energy and decide what you want to focus on.

Take a step of faith today, and go after a dream or goal that you keep putting off. It won’t necessarily happen for you today, but put some energy towards it. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. You are amazing! Believe it!

Keeping The Faith

“Keeping the Faith” is something that we must strive to do each day. There are obstacles we all hit and there are challenges that seem impossible to overcome.

What do we do when we hit those walls? How do you shake off the negative and keep promoting the positive?

You have to set your sights on positive thoughts. You have to look yourself in the mirror each and every morning and tell yourself that you are strong, and that you have the ability to make today a positive experience. You have to build that sense of faith in your spirit.

You will overcome the obstacles that you face. You will learn how to manage that problem that seems overwhelming. You can do it and you will do it. You have to “talk faith” into your spirit each and every day.

Challenge yourself today. Believe that you have what it takes to get past where you are and head toward your goal! “Now, let’s get going!” xo Sally

Encouragement

When we are faced with frustration, and we can’t seem to visualize a time when our current circumstances will be better, we need encouragement.

Sometimes you may not be fortunate enough to have someone ready and willing to give you the “push” forward that you need to continue. What do you do then?

Seek out encouraging people. Identify what in particular seems to be at the root of your frustration and look for some answers to help you cope. There may be help out there that you are not aware of, but you won’t find any solutions without some effort.

Don’t forget that you can encourage others as well. We are all in this thing called “life” together. It can get better. You will be able to see the potential to improve things if you have that attitude. Get rid of the feelings of despair and anger…turn those feelings into hope and possibilities.

Have vs. Want

Have you ever noticed how difficult we make things for ourselves?

When we have challenges; like caring for a loved one, financial issues, relationship struggles, and any number of things we face each day, we have a choice.

We can choose to take a deep breath and think of the positive things that are happening in our lives, or choose to focus on the negative things that we allow to chip away at our ability to focus.

Choose the positive. Think of what you are learning from past mistakes, which may have brought you to the place you are finding yourself in with your relationship or your finances. Believe that you will not repeat the same mistakes, and that you have learned how to change your behavior to make that your new reality.

Caregivers; choose to focus on the good memories that you have shared with your loved one, and believe that the challenges that are taking place today will allow you to show compassion and caring. Want to be your best. It makes it so much easier. “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

What Are Your Present Blessings?

When you are going through a trying situation, it may be hard to see what positive value it has. Life is not perfect and people are certainly not perfect.

Usually we react to what we are experiencing. Sometimes it is difficult to believe that a negative situation will ever end.

Here’s the challenge; believe that whatever you are going through did not come to stay, but it came to pass. Believe that because you are being forced to stretch outside of your comfort zone, to deal with the circumstances you find yourself in, you will be a better person for the experience.

What can you gain? Here is an opportunity to learn patience, understanding and recognize the blessings you have today. Make a list of the blessings you have. Be thankful for what you have, and the rest will follow. “Now, let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Are You A Nag?

One of the hardest things to overcome is struggling with how to get your point across without being a nag.

Whether it is with your children or with co-workers, the goal is to help people learn new ways of doing things and try new approaches, without giving the impression that you think your way is the only way. If you share your vision and let people around you see the big picture, chances are they will move forward with the plan.

Appreciate what you have, where you are going and make the journey full of excitement. Motivate and Accelerate into 2015. “Now let’s get going!”  xo Sally

Crazy People

When you begin believing in your goals, and talk about what you plan to do, you may hear all kinds of negative feedback from family, and people who you think are friends.

They may even be so bold to call you “crazy.” They only do that because they can’t relate to thinking about the bigger picture. They cannot imagine being successful or living a different life. They have bought in to the idea that they are where they are, and there are no alternatives.

Well, forget about that kind of thinking. Go ahead and be proud to be “crazy.” Crazy people are big thinkers. Crazy people believe that there is more in store for them. Crazy people dream big dreams.

Join my club of crazy people! You are welcome here. We are the ones who will make a difference in a positive way! What motivates you? Leave your comments below and you will find that you have a lot of supporters here, who know you are headed for great things!

Escape Your Daily Life

Do you find yourself wanting to “escape” from your daily life? There are times that we all get tired and wish things would be easier, but our lives are a direct reflection of what we do each day.

We may not want to believe that we are the architects of our good and bad moments, but we are. What we allow to perpetuate, we get in return.

What can we do differently? What do you want to happen? Spend the next few days deciding what you want to happen in your life, and start believing it to be possible.

Don’t talk yourself out of it. You can have more and it can be better. Take the first step and write down what you want to see change. Small steps are better than no steps. It does not matter how old or how young you are. I know you can do it. Start thinking and planning for tomorrow…your life depends on it!   “Now let’s get going!”  xo Sally
